Charlie has been riding the Salt Grass Trail Ride since 1955, and has held a number of positions in the years since.  He was selected to Scout in 1970, served as Wagon Boss in 1966, was elected Assistant Trail Boss from 1979-81, and Trail Boss for the years 1982-84.  He has also held the Executive Committee positions of Treasurer from 1998-2002 and Campsite Boss.  Charlie rides with Wagon 5, “Circle S”, and has been involved in every phase of the ride since 1974.  Charlie is self-employed and works for Harris County. He and his wife, Ethel, have two grown children.
