on the Salt Grass

Robert Ater
Theo Robert Ater has served the Salt Grass Trail Association as Campsite Boss since 2000. In 2012 Robert accepted the SGT position of Wagon Boss. Robert is a retired Houston Firefighter who joined the Salt Grass Trail in 1972. He rides with Wagon 21, “Rounder’s”, and previously rode with Coastal Electric, the Hack Saw Riders, and the Centex Riders. Robert's wife, Cheryl, accompanies him along the Salt Grass Trail Ride and assists him with his duties.
